So I feel I must post something about the feared end of the 13th Baktun, the date when the world as we know it, ceases to be...

It was yesterday, and even tho I watched attentively, the seas were not overrun with fanged koalas on pontoon boats, the land was not boiling up with mole people from the center of the earth, and the skies were not filled end to end with flaming dolphins, each ridden by a Mayan with a stinger missile launcher.

In short, just another day. Life goes on, la-la how the life goes on.

On an unrelated note, yesterday was my wedding anniversary. My last, as we will be filing for divorce next month. There is a long story that goes with it, but I don't really feel like telling it just now. May the 14th Baktun bring everyone what they want, may peace guide the pla-anets and love steer the stars

Weird Place for Bacon

Weird Place for Bacon:
High efficiency washing machines.

This has been a weird, weird week.  Starting with Shawn deciding he was going to learn to play poker.  Yeah, that one was a real weird one for me.  Going to the laundry-mat to find bacon in the high-efficiency washing machine is another event.  You know how I knew it was super weird?  The guy who grew up in that family owned laundry-mat had never seen it before!  That's how I knew it was weird.  And then there's the story P.B. has got coming up here.  Let's just say the title of Ewwwwww . . . . is well earned!

Are there any weird places you have found bacon?
