Princess Leia was carrying the Death Star Plans to Alderaan when her ship was captured by 

Darth Vader...

So Leia gave the plans to Artoo Detoo and See-Threepio

who took them to Tatooine in an escape pod

They were taken by Jawas and sold to the uncle of Luke Skywalker

Together with Han Solo and Chewbacca, 

they traveled to Alderaan in the Millennium Falcon

 and found that Alderaan had been destroyed. They were taken aboard the Death Star, escaped, and took Leia to Yavin 4. From Yavin 4, a taskforce of X and Y wings 

Side Note:P This Y-Wing car was found toy-shopping on my birthday

were launched to fire a proton torpedo into the exhaust port of the Death Star-These Snubfighters were met by Tie Fighters

And Darth Vader in his Tie Advanced X1

I found this last night just in time to add it to the post

But Luke fired his Torpedo using the force as his guide and destroyed the Death Star. That led to a bunch of other adventures, other characters and a whole franchise- Happy Star Wars day, folks!
